WHAT TO EXPECT
My goal is to capture your family’s love in a beautiful and authentic way. I always capture a few traditionally-posed photos where everyone is looking at the camera but you’ll spend a majority of your session playing, exploring, laughing and snuggling since the moments of real connection are where the magic happens.
If you choose an outdoor session, we’ll meet just before sunset or just after sunrise so we have beautiful, warm light. If you choose an indoor session, we have more flexibility with session timing.

Which session is best? I typically recommend the Classic Story for families with little ones. A lot of parents say, “my kids won’t last that long” and you’re right - they won’t last that long if they’re being asked to smile at the camera and pose the entire time. This is why my sessions are interactive. You’ll spend lots of time exploring, snuggling, playing and making photos into a game. The more time we have together, the more of your story we can tell, the more relaxed your session will feel, and the more your kiddos will realize that we’re allowed to let loose and have fun. If you book a Classic Story and your kiddos just aren’t having it, you can always drop down to a Short Story during the session… But only happens maybe once per year. A majority of my families leave their session saying, “Wow, that was actually a lot of fun!”.
